The final paper for COM 575 - Grant Writing - was a full-length grant proposal, the culminating effort of the course. It’s a 1:1 facsimile of what a real grant proposal would be comprised of, and given my burgeoning interest towards the field, it’s a hypothetical example of what I could put together in the real-world environment. Being a comprehensive piece that demonstrates both macro-research and micro-attention to detail, it’s written to effectively help the organizations that need money to get it. I hold great value towards illustrating my ability to single-handedly tackle a full-length project, and this proposal is a stellar example of that.

In a similar lens, given the purpose of the proposal - pitching a grant from Comcast to help Bethesda Project, a homeless organization based in Philadelphia - it shows my interest in social justice & doing philanthropic good. It also demonstrates my ability to tie together two organizations in proximity to one another, benefitting both the homeless individuals in question and the Philadelphia community as a whole. Because the proposal is intentionally forward-looking and ambitious, it also paints my interest towards ensuring long-term solutions for the causes I’m interested in.
